What Happens After You Get in Touch

We come out and look at the chimney — inside and out. That means the firebox, the damper, the smoke chamber, a camera scan of the full flue, and the crown, cap, and flashing from the roof. It takes 30 to 90 minutes depending on what we find.

Then we show you the footage and give you a written estimate that separates what is a safety issue now from what can wait a season. Estimates are free. If your chimney is fine, we will tell you that and there is no charge for hearing it.

What Helps Us Quote Faster

You do not need any of this to get in touch, but it speeds things up if you have it: roughly when the house was built, whether the fireplace is masonry or a prefab metal unit, what the chimney vents (wood fireplace, gas furnace, water heater, or a combination), and whether anything has changed recently — a new furnace, a chimney fire, a bad storm, or a leak that appeared after heavy rain.

If you are calling about a leak, it also helps to know where the water shows up and whether it only happens in wind-driven rain. Water at the ceiling where the chimney passes through usually points at flashing; water inside the firebox usually points at the crown or a missing cap. Either way we confirm it on site rather than guessing.

Selling or Buying a Home?

Say so when you contact us. A property transfer calls for a Level II inspection, which includes the camera scan and a written report with photos — the documentation an agent or an insurance adjuster can actually work from. A standard home inspection does not scan the flue, which is where the expensive problems hide. We prioritise these when there is a closing date.

Twinsburg is our home base. We cover Hudson, Macedonia, Aurora, Solon, Glenwillow, and Streetsboro, plus Sagamore Hills, Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Brecksville, Broadview Heights, and Northfield. Twinsburg and Hudson are in Summit County; Solon, Glenwillow, and Brecksville are in Cuyahoga County, which has its own permit process for relining and structural work.
